Admin
The ply reason for a lateral transfer is prof dev to become superintendent. An admin should stay where they are. It does no good to make a lateral move, unless you want to leave the unhappy mess u have created. It would not be for the kids interest, because u have already had the chance/pleasure to educate them once. Why would someone would continue to put in for other jobs every year?

My Personal Learning Network
Question 1.
My PLN prior to this course was very limited. I had no idea nor understood RSS feeds, did not know about podcast and did not have a twitter account. I had discovered blogging and found it to be an interesting medium for numerous topics, but never used it for educational purposes. We use email and Google Docs a lot in our school and in our district. But honestly, we are a long way of making uses of all the technologies that are available. The more I have tried these Web 2.0 tools, the more possibilities I find for there use. As a teacher, there are several ways I plan to use blogging and podcast in the classroom. The students would love to be a part of the projects/instruction using these tools.
I think our teachers are not using these tools because they need more professional development and many of our students do not have access to the internet. However, I think that year by year, the number of students without technology access is growing smaller. I have received some feedback from several of our teachers who would like to use blogging to put out information to their students and parents. Our administrators have discussed the use of twitter to put out short messages pertaining to information about school closings, weather, and important reminders. We'll see how it goes, at least it is a start.
I think it is important that as teachers and administrators, we move forward and begin to use these tools. We may only have them in a limited role today, by they are sure to be the way we communicate and teach in the future.

Today I made my first podcast. It was quite interesting. I concluded that one must be an effective speaker to have an effective podcast.but then again, those who listen to you every day will completely understand your accent and choice of words. Here is a link to my podcast: https://audioboo.fm/users/1948789/boos

Purpose of Blogging
As I read the blogs I noticed personal opinions were throughout each post. This made me become uninterested quickly. The more I read, the more it became personal. I felt that all readers may not care to read about personal experiences blended with professional ideas. I think this will "turn off" most readers.
I much prefer the blogger stay on task instead of rambling about a hiking trip.
I would use a blog to be the "electronic newspaper" for our school community. It would include things such as news, sports, band activities, academic success, and other extra curricular activities.
A blog could also inform parents of school issues and meetings. I think it would be a great communication tool for the entire school community.
